1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CampusRaven, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
CampusRaven is a college planning platform designed for high school students, their parents, and independent educational consultants (advisors). The platform provides tools for discovering colleges, tracking applications, managing essays, and collaborating between students, families, and advisors.
3. Account Eligibility
- You must be 13 years of age or older to use CampusRaven
- Users under 18 should review these terms with a parent or guardian
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account
4. Subscription and Billing
- A Free plan is available with core features at no charge.
- Student plans: Student Plus ($19/month or $199/year) and Student Premium ($39/month or $349/year). Student subscriptions are billed immediately upon purchase and renew automatically (monthly or annually, depending on your plan) at the then-current price until you cancel.
- Advisor plans are billed annually: Advisor Starter ($1,188/year, shown as $99/month), Advisor Growth ($2,988/year, shown as $249/month), and Advisor Pro ($5,388/year, shown as $449/month). Advisors can try CampusRaven free for 14 days with up to 3 students and no credit card. When you subscribe, the full annual amount is charged immediately, and there is no additional trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually, depending on your plan) at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- 14-day money-back guarantee: you may request a full refund within 14 days of any charge (your initial purchase or a renewal), for any reason. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to stop future renewals and keep access through the end of your paid term.
- We email a reminder before each annual renewal.
5. User Conduct
When using CampusRaven, you agree not to:
- Misuse, copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of the service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
- Impersonate other users, advisors, or college representatives
6. Intellectual Property
- You own the content you upload (essays, notes, documents)
- By uploading content, you grant CampusRaven a limited license to store and display it to people you've explicitly authorized (advisors, parents)
- College data, platform design, and AI-generated descriptions are the property of CampusRaven and their respective data sources
7. AI-Generated Content
- College recommendations and descriptions are generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies
- AI output should be used as a starting point for research, not as authoritative guidance
- CampusRaven is not responsible for college admissions decisions, scholarship outcomes, or actions taken based on AI-generated content
8. Not Professional Advice
CampusRaven is a software platform, not a licensed educational, admissions, financial, or legal advisor. Our tools, content, and AI-generated output are for informational and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are responsible for your own decisions. Independent advisors who use CampusRaven to work with students are separate third parties; CampusRaven does not employ, supervise, endorse, or guarantee them or the advice they provide.
9. Limitation of Liability
CampusRaven is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee admission outcomes, scholarship awards, financial aid amounts, or any specific results from using the platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampusRaven's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm other users or the platform. You may also terminate your account at any time from My Profile → Delete Account.
11. Changes to Terms
We will communicate material changes to these terms at least 30 days in advance via email. Continued use of CampusRaven after that period constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
